Ink Review #108: Sailor Studio 531 — Fountain Pen Pharmacist

Today's review focuses on Sailor Studio 531. This is a mulberry color; purple with pink undertones.

Swabs:

This color had a quick dry time, high shading, and no sheen. The color shades from a light pink-purple to grape.

Writing Sample:

This ink had a reserved flow but demonstrated beautiful shading in my Pilot <Waverly>. For reference, this nib lays down a 0.5 mm line.

Overall: This is a pleasant magenta purple. I like the shading but prefer cooler (blue/grey) purples.
