Ink Review #6: Robert Oster Lake of Fire

Happy October--or shall I say, Inktober! I will be doing the #30ink30days challenge, where I review one ink daily. For now, I will put the pen reviews on hold until November.

Today I'll be reviewing another Robert Oster ink. This is a beautiful, snappy blue that reminds me quite a bit of Robert Oster's Blue Denim.

Swabs:

This ink leans towards a teal blue. It has a medium dry time with medium sheen and shading. The sheen is red/pink hued.

This was a well-behaved ink for longer writing. I liked the shading immensely; it reminds me of a darker Lamy Turquoise.

Overall: This is a beautiful color that is well-suited for summer or winter but I don't think I will purchase a full bottle. Even though it checks off my ideal ink and has great shading, this color doesn't "speak" out to me. The shading can be fully appreciated in broad or flex nibs.
