Ink Review #124: Sailor Studio 653

Today wraps up our mini-group of purples! 653 is a deep wine.

This ink had a moderate dry time, medium shading, and high sheen. This is a warm, reddish purple with a gold/green sheen. I found that the color was closest to Platinum Classic Lavender Black, albeit a shade darker.

This ink had a wet, consistent flow. I especially liked the depth of the purple. The sheen gives this color a characteristic pop, but the dark purple manages to convey a more professional tone. (Think business casual).

Overall: This ink solidifies my love for reddish purples. The maroon is perfect for autumn.
