Ink Review #237: J. Herbin Cafe Des Iles
Today we will be reviewing a J. Herbin ink! Cafe Des Iles translates to “Island Coffee” and is a chestnut brown.
Swabs:
This ink had medium shading and low sheen. The color is similar to Tono & Lims Kola Nuts and is a warm brown.
Dry Time/Water Resistance:
This ink had a long dry time and low water resistance.
Writing Sample:
I found that this ink had a dry flow. I experienced a few hard starts while writing this review (my Lamy 2000 was left uncapped for a few minutes).
Overall: This is a beautiful fall brown that is on the dry side. I recommend using it in a wet writer.
