Ink Review #270: Diamine Bilberry

Today’s post features Diamine Bilberry, a dark purple. Bilberries are European blueberries —I don’t see any purple tones on Google but I’ve never eaten them (perhaps the colors are different in real life).

Swabs:

This ink had low shading and high sheen. The shading was interesting—although low, it varies intensely from bright blue-purple to dark purple.

I’ve found most Diamine inks are wet and this ink was no exception. I’m usually impartial to purple inks but liked the shading.

Overall: This is a well behaved purple with great sheen.
