Ink Review #289: Robert Oster Lipstick Red

Today I’ll be reviewing Robert Oster Lipstick Red. This is a faded burgundy.

Swabs:

This ink had medium shading and no sheen. It is a dark, dusty red. The color is similar to Monteverde Mercury Noir and Robert Oster Frankly Scarlet.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had a quick dry time of 15 seconds and medium water resistance.

Writing Sample:

I found that this ink was very dry. My Lamy <F> had trouble with the ink flow—I actually thought there was something wrong with the nib/tines.

Overall: This is a dry ink so I would suggest using it in pens with a wetter flow.
