Ink Review #410: PenBBS #129 Xu Zhimo
Today I will be reviewing a lovely grey pink from PenBBS. This ink was inspired by Xu Zhimo, a Chinese poet who is known for reshaping traditional poetry and integrating Western culture into his writings.
Swabs:
This ink had low shading or sheen. The color goes on as a cool grey similar to Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu-Syogun, but quickly fades to a light pink.
Dry Time/Water Resistance:
This ink had an average dry time at 15 seconds and no water resistance.
Writing Sample:
I absolutely love this color—and even doodled for the first time in months! The pink is quite light so it would be best for journaling over note-taking. I found that this ink had an average but smooth flow.
Overall: I recommend checking out this ink—as of this writing, it is $16.00 for a 60 mL bottle. The color is such a lovely shade of pink and quite unique too.
