Ink Review #452: PenBBS #523 — Fountain Pen Pharmacist

Today we head right back into PenBBS inks. #523 is a medium green.

Swabs:

This is a dark emerald green with medium shading and no sheen. The color is a few shades darker than Taccia Uguisu, and is similar to Taccia Midori Green.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had an average dry time of 30 seconds and low water resistance.

Writing Sample:

I found this ink to be well-behaved, with an average flow. There was nothing remarkable to note about properties or behavior. The color reminds me of a shinier Noodler’s Green Gator.

Overall: Overall this is a nice emerald green with an average flow. It’s a bit too subtle for my taste so I wont’ be purchasing a full bottle.
