Ink Review #655: Stipula Calamo Saffron Yellow
Today’s review will be on a new-to-me ink company! Stipula hails from Florence, Italy and has been making inks and fountain pens since the 1930s.
Swabs:
Saffron Yellow is named after the spice saffron, which originates from the saffron cricus thread. This ink had medium shading and no sheen. I would describe this as a pleasant golden orange.
Dry Time/Water Resistance:
Saffron Yellow had an average dry time of 20 seconds and no water resistance.
Writing Sample:
Saffron Yellow had an average flow and medium saturation.
Overall: This is such a cheerful color! I especially liked the shading. I would recommend trying a sample.
