Ink Review #211: Bungubox Zodiac: Libra — Fountain Pen Pharmacist

Today we will be reviewing the last of my Bungbox x Zodiac set. There are 12 colors, each representing one of the Zodiac signs, but I purchased 3. Bungubox x Zodiac Libra is a classic, dark navy.

Swabs:

This ink had medium shading and medium red sheen. This is a cool-toned navy. I can’t quite pin down the a similar ink but it is quite familiar. I’ve included a comparison swab with Pilot Iroshizuku Shin Kai which is a more saturated blue.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had a moderate dry time at 25 seconds and medium water resistance.

Writing Sample:

I found that this ink was well-behaved with a smooth flow. This is a wetter ink that would work well as a classic navy ink for note-taking.

Overall: This is a beautiful blue but I will most likely finish the bottle by sending out ink samples. The color is too similar to other sheening dark blue inks that I’ve reviewed.
