Ink Review #413: Monteverde ITF Blue Black

Today I will be reviewing another blue-black ink (my favorite color of all time). This Monteverde ink is formulated with ITF which helps lubrication and flow. The color definitely veers the black end of the spectrum.

This ink had low shading and no sheen. Unlike most blue-black inks, the blue is barely discernible—a faint bluish undertone paired with a medium grey.

I’ve decided to try something different - moving forward, I will write two pages instead of one. Lately I have felt that one page is not enough, and I would like to spend more time with the ink sample.

I found this flow to be smooth and average. It behaved quite well in my Lamy.

Overall: This is a beautiful blue-black ink. If you are looking for an ink that is not quite black, but has standard blue tones, then I would recommend trying this sample.
