Ink Review #522: PenBBS #387 Mark Twain — Fountain Pen Pharmacist

Today we will be reviewing PenBBS #387, a smoky black.

Swabs:

This ink had no shading and low sheen. The color is a medium black.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had a long dry time of 40 seconds and low/medium water resistance.

Writing Sample:

This ink was on the drier side. I experienced hard starts if I stopped writing for a few seconds. The flow was uneven and difficult to manage.

Overall: To be honest I was disappointed with this ink. Although the black is beautiful and saturated, I experienced too many hard starts and disliked the finicky flow.
