Ink Review #673: Graf von Faber-Castell Stone Grey

And so, the first week of dedicated is officially over! We had Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support training this week, so it was a bit tough scheduling boards questions around that. I also unabashedly admit that I’ve been hooked on the K-Drama “Tomorrow”, and binged eight episodes after studying. It’s very well-written, but I assumed it was lighthearted and jovial. The joke is on me, though; I’ve been crying every episode!

Next week looks to be about the same in terms of studying. The weather has been very humid lately, so I’m hoping that it cools down for a morning jog.

And now, onto today’s review—Graf von Faber-Castell Stone Grey.

Swabs:

Stone Grey is a medium, slate-grey ink with high shading and no sheen. This shade of grey is warmer than Diamine Silver Fox, but cooler than Pilot Iroshizuku Kiri-Same.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had an average dry time of 20 seconds and high water resistance.

Writing Sample:

Stone Grey had a smooth, slightly wet flow. The ink flowed evenly in my pen without any hard starts or skips.

Overall: I really liked this ink. It’s a beautiful, well-saturated grey. I’ve already inked up my journaling pen with the rest of the sample and plan to purchase a full bottle.
