Ink Review #280: Diamine Shimmertastic Red Lustre

Today we’ll be reviewing a Diamine Shimmering ink. Red Lustre is a medium red.

Swabs:

This ink had medium shading and glitter. The color is slightly darker than a standard red ink.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had an average dry time of 30 seconds and no water resistance.

I felt that this ink was on the dry side. I tried re-priming the feed (thinking it was clogged from the glitter) but didn’t see any noticeable change. The coIor is a medium red—almost faded. I liked the color as it wasn’t too bright.

Overall: This was a dry, dusty red. It would work best in broad or flex nibs.
